About Reggie

Reggie or Reg is a first-generation American who’s family hails from Haiti. Born in Queens, NY he has lived in the DMV since he was in high school and has always worked in the service industry since his beginnings at a sink—he started out as a dishwasher at a retirement home in Bethesda, MD.  “A combination of bartending, promoting parties, and repeated fails at Multi-Level Marketing gave me the experience I needed to really run RegMo Promo,” he says.

Reg is the ideas guy—he’s great at considering a bar, restaurant, neighborhood or community and identifying just what kinds of events, music and crowd can come together in harmony.  While working at a hotel lounge he realized this gift when he suggested to his managers that they bring in some music and he drastically increased profits.  Since then he’s been bartending and has also used his creativity and marketing skills to pull in crowds and cultivate regulars at neighborhood bars, too.

He is great at keeping everything balanced. “My super power is the ability to stay calm under pressure and help people relax a bit.  I do what I do because I want to see satisfaction in the faces of the people.”  He continues, “the best part of my job is the ability to spread music that I like to an appreciative audience.”

If he were you he would listen to a few of the old reliables—“Winter Warz” by Ghostface Killah, “All Night Long” by Lionel Richie, “Distortion to Static” by the Roots, “Under the Bridge” by Red Hot Chili Peppers or maybe some Bob Marley.
